Bellbuoy Celebrates 30 Years of Excellence, Leadership, and Legacy
This year marks a remarkable milestone for Bellbuoy as the company proudly celebrates 30 years of dedication, professionalism, and service excellence within the property industry. What began as a vision built on integrity, hard work, and a commitment to people has grown into a respected and trusted name in property management across the region.
At the heart of Bellbuoy’s story is the enduring legacy of the late Greer Moore-Barnes, Founding Director of the National Association of Managing Agents (NAMA) and Honorary Member of the Association. Her continuing influence within the property industry helped shape the standards of professionalism and ethical management that Bellbuoy continues to uphold today. Greer’s passion for the industry, mentorship, and unwavering commitment to service excellence laid a strong foundation that continues to inspire both the company and the broader property management sector today.
Over the past three decades, Bellbuoy has evolved alongside a rapidly changing industry, navigating economic challenges, legislative developments, and technological transformation while consistently maintaining the high service and administrative standards upon which the company was founded. Through innovation, adaptability, and a client-focused approach, Bellbuoy has built long-standing relationships with trustees, owners, investors, residents, and service providers alike.
The company’s success has also been driven by the strength and leadership of its directors, Shannon Moore-Barnes and Chantel van Heerden, whose vision, dedication, and hands-on involvement have guided Bellbuoy through its journey. Their commitment to ethical governance, operational excellence, and community engagement has ensured that Bellbuoy remains a trusted partner within the property management industry.
Continuing Bellbuoy’s rich industry connection both locally in the Eastern Cape and nationally, Shannon and Chantel remain committed to playing a role in the betterment of the industry. Through involvement in professional bodies, local business initiatives, and mentorship within the industry, they have contributed meaningfully to raising the standard of property management and fostering positive relationships within the communities they serve. Shannon is currently Eastern Cape regional chair of NAMA, while also holding the Vice -Chair position on NAMA’s national Body. Chantel is currently Chair of the Newton Park Business Cluster.
Behind the company’s success stands a dedicated team whose professionalism and commitment continue to uphold Bellbuoy’s reputation for excellence – already established so many years ago. The Team of under 50 staff continue to reflect the strong relationships and trust built over time, assisting clients daily with their property needs.
As Bellbuoy celebrates this significant anniversary, it also honours the many individuals who have contributed to its success over the years, past and present directors, staff members, clients, trustees, contractors, and industry partners.
Each has played an important role in shaping the company into what it is today.
As Bellbuoy looks toward the future, the company remains committed to innovation, service excellence, and maintaining the professional standards that have defined its journey for the past 30 years - looking to take this forward into the next 30!
